In bagmaking, rings come in many shapes and sizes, but the purpose is the same: to connect different parts of a bag or strap together. There are d-rings, rectangular rings, and circular or oval rings. They are always fixed in place.

Strap sliders also come in many shapes and sizes, all with the same purpose: to adjust the length of a strap. The wearer can slide this hardware along the strap to make the strap longer or shorter.
